Build the invoice from verified master data
Use the legal supplier name, address and TRN from the company profile and verified customer details. Include a unique sequential number, issue date, supply date where different, description, quantity, unit price, VAT rate and tax amount.
Full, simplified and foreign-currency invoices
The applicable invoice form depends on the transaction and recipient. For foreign-currency billing, the VAT amount must be shown in AED together with the approved exchange rate. Round VAT at line level to the nearest fils.
Correct without erasing history
Do not silently overwrite an issued and posted tax document. Use a tax credit note or additional tax invoice where required, retain the link to the original and preserve the audit trail. Malyon separates drafts from issued documents and keeps numbering by document type.

Frequently asked questions
Can an issued invoice number be reused?
A unique sequential number should identify the document. Avoid reuse because it breaks the audit trail.
Can I edit a posted amount?
Correct material amounts through the appropriate credit/debit document rather than rewriting the original evidence.
